About
This Piece: |
#3 in my “33 Days on the Farm for $33″ Daily Painting Series, “Good Morning Rooster”, a silhouetted Rooster welcomes the morning sun. My own roosters actually start welcoming at 4:30 a.m., still dark in GA!
This chicken folk art painting is on 1/4″ wood, and is approximately 5 1/2″ by 15 1/2″. It is painted in Acrylics, and sealed with a glossy varnish for protection. A nylon cord is attached to the back for hanging. |

About
This Piece: |
Little Cochin Bantam Rooster painted in acrylic and sealed with a glossy finish. White Cotton String attached for hanging.
#2 in my “30 Days on the Farm” Daily Painting Series, this little rooster was inspired by my Red Cochin Bantam, named “Red”, of course! “Red” is a tiny fireball, with a wicked little disposition. Luckily I have “Wendell”, my little Polish Cockerel, to keep “Red” in line!
My wood wall hangings are the same size as my tiles, but cost a third less. I’m planning on painting many more, as the Roos keep me painting around here. |

About the Artist:
|
|
I am C.E. Harrison, from Georgia. I am …an artist, wife, mother, animal lover. I live on a farm and raise chickens, turkeys and geese. I have 2 studios, one attached to my home, and one under the big shade trees, with my chickens keeping me company and offering critiques. My paintings have been collected all over the United States. While a lot of my art leans towards the Southern Folk Art Style, I never let anything rule me.
I enjoy painting, enjoy color, and hope you will enjoy my work!

White Leghorn Rooster painted in acrylic and sealed with a glossy finish. White Cotton String attached for hanging.
Springtime is coming, and the roosters are showing their stuff! I really enjoy capturing their expressions, as with this cocky fellow.

About
This Piece: |
My latest painting is of my little hen Sadie. Out of all my chickens, and I have a lot, Sadie stands out. She’s always letting me in on all the “news” around the barnyard!
This painting is an 8″ x 10″ on gallery wrapped canvas with 3/4″ sides, staples on the back, so no frame is needed. The sides are painted black. It is painted in artists acrylics, and sealed with Kumar Non-yellowing varnish. |

A self-portrait of sorts, this folk art painting portrays me feeding the chickens scratch in the mornings.
The painting is on a clay tile, rescued from the landfill even though it was new. It is painted in acrylic, and sealed with a glossy interior/exterior varnish for protection. I framed it on a recycled white plastic coated metal rack, making it instantly hangable.
