I am C.E. Harrison, from Georgia. I am …an artist, wife, mother, animal lover. I live on a farm and raise chickens, turkeys and geese. I have 2 studios, one attached to my home, and one under the big shade trees, with my chickens keeping me company and offering critiques. My paintings have been collected all over the United States. While a lot of my art leans towards the Southern Folk Art Style, I never let anything rule me.

Poppies Chunky Block Painting

5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Acrylic on 3/4″ wood
The sides were carved out to add to the texture and look. The flowers and seeds were woodburned in and then painted, to give a textured feel. A slot is carved in the back for easy hanging.
Both front and back have been sealed with a glossy varnish for protection.
The painting can also stand on it’s own on a table for display.
This is an actual painting, not a laminated print. |

On the day I decided to do a small sketch of my Franch Black Copper Marans Rooster I’ll admit he seemed a little cranky, but here the fuzzy-footed creature is!The drawing is ACEO size, 2.5″ x 3.5″, sketched with Prismacolor Premier colored pencils on watercolor paper. It has been placed inside a protective plastic sleeve.
