#5 in my “33 Days on the Farm For $33″, I love it when the muscadines are in season! Right now it is time to prune back the vines for a good harvest in the fall, so I painted this as a reminder.
Painting in artist acrylics including raw sienna and ultramarine violet, with added iridescent medium on the grapes. The painting is on a 5.5″ x 5.5″ piece of wood that is 3/4″ thick. The sides were carved out to add to the texture and look. A slot is carved in the back for easy hanging. Both front and back have been sealed with a glossy varnish for protection. The painting can also stand on it’s own on a table for display.
This is an actual painting, not a laminated print. |
